The Delaware Rush Spring Goalkeeper Academy is open to all representative team soccer goalkeepers. The Academy’s goal is to offer high level goalkeeper training in a positive and encouraging environment.
To teach all aspects of the soccer goalkeeping trade. We will focus on footwork, handling, diving, dealing with crosses, angle play, communicating, shot stopping and much more.
Dan Frick and Carlos Meinhard are DE Rush Premier Trainers and former collegiate goalkeepers. Meinhard, a native of Venezuela, spent four years on the Goldey-Beacom College men’s roster from 2010 through 2013 before joining the staff as an assistant coach in 2014. His goalkeepers have earned multiple post season honors during his time at GBC. Frick just finished his third season as Head Coach of the women’s soccer team at GBC – winning 39 games while earning Coach of the Year honors in 2016 & 2018. His 2018 team finished ranked 10th in the East Region while scoring the 9th most goals in NCAA D2. He holds his NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma while coaching in college every year since his graduation (East Stroudsburg ‘06). During training there may also be other collegiate goalkeepers present – offering our goalkeepers an extraordinary depth of experiences, tactics and training exercises.

DFC Hockessin Goal Keeping Academy
This is a year long program. The program is free to Current DE Rush Competitive players during the Fall and Spring Seasons. Summer and Winter GK Academy will involve a fee.
All goalkeeping will be done based on the player's ability, not their age. We believe that it is important to train these players appropriately, and will not do activities that are too advanced for the player.
Please make sure each goalkeeper brings a ball and is dressed appropriately. Bring a soccer ball, GK gloves, long sleeve t-shirt / pants, indoor shoes, shin guards and water.
