On Friday, December 13 Delaware Football Club hosted a 2008 Girls Play Day at the 76ers Field House in Wilmington, DE.

The purpose of the play day was to bring as many local teams as possible together and close out the fall season.

With 4 clubs represented, Cecil, Concord, Delaware Union, DEFC Hockessin and Kirkwood, 6 teams played inside the stunning 76ers Field House.

“It was a great night and we are already working on doing it again at the beginning of 2020” said Sebastian Acosta-Nijamkin, DEFC Director of Operations and Delaware Union 2008 Girls Head Coach “All of the coaches were very excited about the opportunity to play in a competitive environment where the main goal was to bring everyone together for some stress free games. This opens the door for more events like these in the future. We are excited about the 2020 event and hopefully adding more teams to it that could not make it the first time”
