Delaware FC 04’s vs NJ Premier FC (2-0 Win)

Delaware FC started off the event facing a well-organized defensive minded NJ Premier team in their opening match. Delaware FC saw much of the possession and scoring opportunities early in the match as NJ Premier played a low line of pressure and tried to counter. Delaware FC was able to create several premium scoring opportunities but unable to finish. The game would enter halftime with a score of 0-0.
The second half would see much of the same from Delaware FC who was dominant in possession and opportunities. Liam McDermott would get the goal scoring started with a fantastic shot from about 35 yards out that found the top corner for Delaware FC. With just moments remaining in the match Miguel Sanchez would find the back of the net on a fantastic build up goal. This would secure the 2-0 victory for Delaware FC.
Game 2 Recap
Delaware FC 04’s vs Philadelphia SC Coppa Gunners (1-1 Tie)

Delaware FC playing in their second match of the day started off in a back and forth match with Philly Coppa. Both teams had spells of possession and counter attacking opportunities early in the match. Both teams playing in their game of the day provided a lot of counter attacking opportunities as the play really opened up during the course of the match. With just seconds remaining before halftime, Delaware FC earned a corner kick. Myles Mitchell stepped up from his center back position and knocked home the goal to take Delaware FC up 1-0 into the halftime break.
Following the halftime break both teams had opportunities to change the course of the game. Delaware FC was unable to find their second goal to secure the win. With just moments remaining in the match, Philly Coppa was able to knock home a rebound after a flurry of blocked shots and missed opportunities. The game will end in a well-deserved 1-1 draw.
Game 3 Recap
Delaware FC 04’s vs PWSI Courage (6-1 Win)
Goal Scorer(s): Miguel Sanchez (3), Jose Santillan, Conor Najera, Steven Thompson
Delaware FC came out strong in their third and final match of the weekend. Knowing they needed a result to claim the event the team came out really fired up and playing great soccer. Miguel Sanchez opened up the scoring on a fantastic build-up and diagonal run that put him in behind the back line. Conor Najera would add another goal off a set piece that would take Delaware FC into halftime up 2-0.
The second half saw an initial surge from PWSI, but Delaware FC was able to withstand the pressure and continue to dominate possession. Delaware FC would get two opportunities from the penalty spot that were both finished by Miguel Sanchez. Jose Santillan and Steven Thompson both added goals late in the game to give Delaware FC a convincing 6-1 victory of PSWI Courage.
PA Classics Recap
Delaware FC 04’s finished the event with a record of 2-0-1 and earned 7 points. The team scored nine goals while only conceding two goals over the course of three games. Entering the event ranked 473rd in the country, the team now jumped to 211th in the country following the event win at PA Classics.
