Players are assigned to teams and practice two nights per week under the supervision of volunteer parent coaches. League games are played in age appropriate small-sided formats.
TinyMite sessions are run by DEFC staff members.

UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT

Uniforms - All U8 and U10 players are required to wear the Delaware FC Wilmington uniform. If you need a uniform, please click applicable link below:
*Please note that we do not carry any inventory at the clubhouse. However, we do have samples at the clubhouse that you can try on before ordering.
- Soccer cleats are recommended.

Shin guards are required.
- NO JEWELRY, no hard hair barrettes, no toe cleats, no casts.

Additional Programs Available with Partner Club - DEFC Hockessin
(The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities sponsored by US Youth Soccer. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, age 4-19, who has a cognitive or physical disability.

3v3 Soccer tournament
Our Springtacular is a One-Day 3v3 tournament for instructional/recreational players in the 2012/2013 (U8) thru (High School) age groups.
Each year we close out our Spring Recreational season with our 3v3 Springtacular tournament. This tournament is for recreational players and teams from Delaware FC Hockessin and other local clubs and schools. The tournament is great fun for our local soccer community!
Are you having trouble forming a team? Is your coach unavailable for the event? Does your team have too many interested players for one team, but not enough for two? While we encourage teams to participate with their current Fall teams, it is not required. Any parent can register and coach any group of recreational players. Organize your teams with teammates, friends or classmates. Don't miss out!
