Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists
DOS believes that your health is the most important thing in your life. Physicians at DOS only practice in their subspecialized fields -- which means their hand doctors don't treat foot injuries or replace hips. Their hip & knee doctors don't perform spine surgery. After all, you wouldn’t hire a plumber to fix your roof, would you? There is no reason to trust your healthcare to anyone other than a SPECIALIST. DOS is unique in the community, as the only completely sub-specialized and fellowship-trained Orthopaedic practice in Delaware. When choosing an Orthopaedic surgeon, looking for one who specializes in the problem that you are experiencing is important. It should be a key factor in your decision making. Unlike general orthopaedic surgeons who do a little bit of everything, their specialists do a lot of one particular thing. Only practicing in their specialized field allows our physicians to perform a higher volume of surgery within their specialty. Many studies have proven that physicians with larger volumes in a particular specialty have better results.
DOS has always enjoyed partnering with community sports programs to help care for our local athletes. To date, we cover more than 20 local High School athletic programs each year -- providing medical coverage and guidance to ensure our athletes have access to safe and proper medical care. It's why we sponsor countless local events, camps, fundraisers and sports programs each year. We currently provide the medical coverage for other soccer programs in our area and Semi-professional teams, including the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the Delaware Blue Coats and First State Football Club. We are excited to partner with Delaware FC as the choice for Specialized Orthopaedic Care!
